Ingredients

Bread

  • 1 loaf white bread or whole wheat, sourdough, or any bread you prefer

Instructions

  • Start by drying out the bread. You can either leave it out to dry for a few hours or bake it in the oven at 250°F (120°C) for about 10 minutes.
  • Once the bread is dried, break it into pieces or process it in a food processor to create the breadcrumbs. For finer crumbs, pulse more; for coarser crumbs, process less.
  • If you want to store the breadcrumbs, place them in an airtight container. You can also freeze them for longer storage.

Notes

You can customize your breadcrumbs by using different types of bread. Stale bread is ideal for making breadcrumbs because it dries more easily. You can also season the crumbs with herbs or spices for added flavor.
